Growing up, I dreamed of pursuing fashion but was told it was “too broad,” so I majored in business marketing because I was naturally good at selling. While in college, I became a single mom, but I refused to let that stop me—it fueled my determination. After earning my Bachelor's degree, I found it challenging to secure a job in my field, so I chose to continue my education and pursue a Master's degree. Even then, opportunities didn’t come from my credentials but because of my kindness and charisma, which helped me build relationships and step into leadership roles that taught me invaluable lessons. 

 By age 30, I found myself reflecting on my “what ifs.” Around this time, I was pouring into my daughter’s passion for cosmetology, ensuring she pursued her dreams despite being told in school to “find a plan B.” Watching her thrive and succeed gave me the courage to focus on my purpose. During the pandemic, I knew it was my time to act.  

That’s when A Queenpreneur’s Plan was born. I created events celebrating and empowering Black women in creative industries—fashion, beauty, culinary arts, and more—offering exposure, grants, and mentorship. We expanded to provide scholarships for youth in the arts and support HBCU creative entrepreneurs. My dream of becoming a fashion designer evolved into inspiring others to design the life of their dreams, create meaningful impact, and make bold statements—not just through timeless fashion, but through purposeful living.

 Today, I see my purpose unfolding in ways I never imagined. I’m living proof that it’s never too late to be what you might have been. My mission is to inspire women and young people to boldly pursue their God-given purpose and dare to dream.
