Meet Founder of
A Queenprener's Plan
The WHY!
Latoya started A Queenpreneur's Plan after noticing the lack of representation of Black women in various industries. Determined to make a difference, she created the platform to uplift and support them. This led to the creation of the Dare to Dream Awards, designed to inspire young Black girls and women to keep dreaming.
Latoya’s passion was sparked by her own experience of being told her dream of attending fashion design school was “too broad.” Later, she supported her daughter’s love for cosmetology, helping her become a licensed natural hairstylist by 17 and attend and shadow at the Bronner Brothers Hair Show at 18. By 19, her daughter will be a licensed cosmetologist. Now, Latoya is dedicated to ensuring that every girl, especially those from underserved communities, has access to the same opportunities and support she provided for her daughter.
